1. Tsomgo Lake




Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, which is located just 40 km away from the capital of Sikkim. This is a very beautiful tourist attraction and the best time to visit is during day time. A snaky road through the rocky mountain which takes you to the Tsomgo Lake is a lot of adventure which feels you a peaceful and full of serenity. You must explore this place on your trip.

How to reach: A cab ride from Gangtok will take 2 hours for you to reach almost all Sikkim tourist places.

Best time to visit: Jan to Mar - for snow.

2. Yuksom



Yuksom is an old historical town in Geyzing subdivision of West Sikkim district in the Northeast Indian state of Sikkim. Yuksom has special religious and cultural significance. Yuksom is where you are looking forward to spending some quiet moments in the shadow of nature away from the hustle bustle of the city. One of the best tourist spot in West Sikkim.

How to reach: 6 to 7 hours by road via Jorethang from Jalpaiguri, the nearest railway stop. The nearest airport is in Bagdogra, 12 km west of Siliguri, about 170 km from Yuksom.

Best time to visit: March to June and September to November

3. Nathu La Pass



Nathu La pass is a mountain pass in the Himalayas in East Sikkim district. The pass, at 4,310m above sea level, forms a part of a side-shoot of the prehistoric Silk Road. Nathu La is one of the three open trading border posts between China and India. Some of the Key Attractions are Yak safari, Border gates of India and China, A beautifully built war memorial, Exhibition Centre of the Indian Army, Mt Chomolhari.

How to reach : 
Road - 4 to 5 hours by bus from the east of Gangtok (54 km)
Train - Nearest railhead is Siliguri, 165 km away, and takes 4.5 hours by taxi.
Flight - Nearest airport is at Bagdogra, 190 km from Nathula.

When to visit Nathula: May and October; Opens for Indians only from Wednesday to Sunday

4. Lachung




Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. Lachung is also a high altitude village of Tibetan and Bhutia people in North Sikkim. Some of the key attractions of Lachung are The picturesque journey from Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake, Gurudongmar lake which is often frozen in winters. Visit Lachung and enjoy the snowfall in Sikkim.

How to reach: Take a taxi from the nearest railhead is New Jalpaiguri (Siliguri). The nearest airport is at Bagdogra.

5. Ravangla




Ravangla is a small town hilly by dense forests, situated at an elevation of 7000 ft in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. 6. Namchi

7. Zuluk


Zuluk is a small village located at a high altitude and has a very empowering history due to its connection with the Silk Route. You need to pre-arrange special permit for visiting this restricted area that is issued from a place called Rangli. Some of the key attractions are Nag temple, Mt Kanchenjungha, Thambi View Point.
