Arunachal Pradesh is one of the 29 states of India and it is located in the northeastern part of India. The state is also known as the 'Land of the Rising Sun. Arunachal Pradesh means "land of the dawn-lit mountains", also Arunachal Pradesh borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south, and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and the People's Republic of China (PRC) in the north. 1. Tawang


Tawang is a town situated at the east of Bhutan, It is famous for Monasteries, Buddhism, Nature. It is located 10000 feet above Mean Sea Level. The beautiful town of Tawang has beautiful lakes around it and major attractions are Sela Pass and Tawang Monastery. Lots of riders come to visit Tawang with bikes, you can also travel by bike. The 400-year-old Tawang monastery is not only one among the oldest but it is known as the largest Indian monasteries.

Roing is one of the beautiful spots in Arunachal Pradesh, It is located in Lower Dibang Valley. Air: The nearest domestic airport is Dibrugarh Airport 145.6 km (3 h 49 min) away. Take a cab from here to Roing.

Rail: The nearest railway Station is Dibrugarh Town Railway Station, about 151 km (4 hr) which is connected to the majority of cities in North East.

 Road:    Visitors need to travel to Tinsukia first and take a bus from here to Roing, about 160 km (4-5 hours) away. A cab can be taken from any part in the northeast to Roing.

3. Itanagar


Itanagar is the capital of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Itanagar has many attractions to offer which include Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Ita Fort, The State Museum, Ganga Lake, Polo Park,  and a lot more places. Ganga lakes offer scenic views with the green forests and orchids. Polo Park is a botanic garden and it refreshes your mind. Road: Itanagar is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, have good connectivity from all states of the northeast. Travelers can take a cab or bus from any part of Assam, also you can go for a bike ride.

4. Bomdila




Bomdila is one of the beautiful place located in Arunachal Pradesh, it is famous for Hills, Nature, Orchards, and Serenity. It is situated 8000 feet above the sea level. Here the climate is cool and enjoyable and the surroundings are so beautiful you will fall in love to visit again and again. The best time to visit Bomdila is between April and October.

5. Ziro



Ziro is known as census town located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, also declared as a World Heritage Site. The place is famous for Hills, Nature, Orchards, Serenity. If you visit here don't forget to visit Talley Valley, fish farm and Wild Life Sanctuary.

Rail: The nearest Railway Station is Tezpur Railway Station which is connected to the majority of cities in India.

Road: A good traveler will go via road, but the best destination to travel would be by road. There you will find buses to Ziro run mainly from Itanagar and sometimes from Assam. Cabs are also good, you can also take a cab from Assam or Arunachal Pradesh.

6. Bhalukpong



Bhalukpong is a small town located around the beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. The town is located at 213 m above sea level, it is famous for Hills, Orchids, and Rivers. Some of the major attractions are Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary. You could go hiking, trekking and river rafting. Road: State buses are available to Bhalukpong run primarily from Tezpur. Cabs are also available from any part of North East to Bhalukpong.

7. Pasighat


Pasighat is known as the 'Gateway of Arunachal Pradesh' and is pure heaven for nature lovers. The destination is famous for Hills, Orchids, and Rivers. It is located on the banks of Siang River and it is 155 meters above sea level. The majestic river the Brahmaputra flows to this place from Tibet. Air: The nearest airport is Dibrugarh Airport, about 4 hr 22 min away. So you can hire a taxi from the airport or Dibrugarh to Pasighat.

Rail: The nearest railway station is Dibrugarh railway station (DBRG). You can also travel by train from many cities in India.

Road: State buses run regularly to Pasighat from all cities of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Also, you can go for a bike ride.

8. Anini




Anini is one of the most enticing places in Arunachal Pradesh, where snowfall is common in winter. The place is famous for Wilderness, Nature and Scenic Views.
